PV Plant Environmental Monitoring System Delivered to Support High-Efficiency Solar Power Operation
As the photovoltaic industry continues to expand as a key green energy sector, environmental and meteorological monitoring has become increasingly important for commercial and utility-scale PV power stations. Accurate climate and solar radiation data are essential for performance evaluation and optimized plant operation.

Recently, Jinzhou Sunshine Meteorological Technology Co., Ltd (Sun Weather) successfully completed the installation and acceptance of a PV plant environmental monitoring system for a major photovoltaic project in Lingwu, Yinchuan, Ningxia. By providing precise and reliable meteorological data, the system enables the PV plant to adjust operational strategies based on real-time weather conditions, improving overall power generation efficiency.
The monitoring data also provide valuable reference support for grid dispatching, helping power systems better respond to weather-related fluctuations and maintain stable grid operation.

This project is part of a large national-level renewable energy base initiative with a DC capacity of 2000 MW and an AC capacity of 2400 MW. After full commissioning, the project is expected to generate up to 34.1 billion kWh of green electricity annually, supporting cleaner and smarter west-to-east power transmission. The PV development model also promotes integrated agro-photovoltaic applications, contributing to ecological improvement and increased agricultural income.
The Sun Weather PC-2-T2 PV Environmental Monitoring System complies with international meteorological observation standards from WMO and IEC specifications. It is designed to address the significant impact of weather conditions on renewable energy output by enabling high-precision monitoring of multiple environmental parameters.
Measured elements include ambient temperature, humidity, module temperature, wind speed, wind direction, atmospheric pressure, and multiple solar radiation indices such as global tilted irradiance, global horizontal irradiance, direct solar radiation, and diffuse radiation. The solution supports more sustainable and reliable energy networks while maximizing the utilization potential of solar and wind resources.
