Standard Agricultural Meteorological Observation Station at Northeast Agricultural University

Recently, Jinzhou Sunshine Meteorological Technology Co., Ltd. (SunWeather) completed the installation of a standard agricultural meteorological observation station in collaboration with Northeast Agricultural University. The system has been successfully commissioned and is now operating stably, providing reliable data support for agricultural research and education.

The station integrates three major monitoring subsystems:

  • Solar radiation monitoring,

  • Agrometeorological observation, and

  • Soil parameter and hydrometeorological monitoring.

Designed in accordance with WMO (World Meteorological Organization) standards, the system enables comprehensive observation of atmospheric and environmental conditions in farmland ecosystems.

Solar radiation monitoring is a key component of the station. Measurements include global radiation, diffuse radiation, direct radiation, reflected radiation, and net radiation. Spectral observations cover ultraviolet, visible, and near-infrared bands, supporting in-depth research in meteorology, renewable energy, agricultural ecology, and environmental science.

The agrometeorological and soil monitoring modules focus on parameters such as air temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, precipitation, soil temperature, soil moisture, and soil salinity. These data help researchers analyze crop–environment interactions, water evaporation processes, and soil condition changes under varying climatic conditions.


Powered by solar energy and supported by wireless data transmission, the system is designed for long-term outdoor operation with minimal maintenance. Real-time data can be transmitted remotely, ensuring continuous, accurate, and efficient monitoring.
