Journey to the Tibetan Plateau: Sun Weather Supports High-Altitude Environmental Monitoring
Recently, Sun Weather participated in a high-altitude field monitoring project on the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau, supporting environmental and temperature observation along complex road test sections at elevations around 4,500 meters. The harsh climate, with long-term low temperatures and strong environmental variability, creates significant challenges for field instruments and on-site personnel.

In cooperation with research teams from a national transportation and highway research institute, multiple-channel temperature monitoring systems were deployed across several frozen soil and composite subgrade test sections. The system adopts anti-noise algorithms and synchronized multi-probe acquisition to reduce environmental interference and improve data stability and validity.

Collected data are processed through intelligent software capable of generating analysis curves and statistical results such as maximum, minimum, and average values. Researchers can remotely access real-time data through network platforms without continuous on-site presence, enabling timely detection of anomalies and improving research efficiency.
Despite extreme cold, snow cover, and complex terrain conditions, the monitoring equipment has maintained stable operation, with continuous and reliable data collection. The project provides valuable primary data for studying plateau meteorology, frozen soil behavior, and their impacts on transportation infrastructure.
Sun Weather continues to deliver robust meteorological and environmental monitoring solutions for extreme environments, supporting scientific research and infrastructure safety in high-altitude regions.
