Explosion-Proof Weather Stations Installed at Inner Mongolia Coal Chemical Plant

Recently, our engineering team completed the installation of two explosion-proof weather stations at Zhongmei Yuanxing Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. in the Wushenqi industrial park, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. The systems were deployed in the methanol plant area to provide reliable meteorological monitoring under hazardous and explosive risk conditions.

In special environments such as petrochemical plants and oil and gas storage and transportation sites, strict explosion-protection requirements make conventional weather stations unsuitable. The deployed explosion-proof weather stations are specifically designed for hazardous zones and feature comprehensive protection capabilities including explosion resistance, corrosion resistance, dustproofing, and waterproofing, ensuring stable long-term operation in harsh industrial environments.

Each station is built with intrinsically safe explosion-proof sensor probes, isolated power and wiring units, explosion-proof flexible conduits, and stainless-steel mounting structures. The configuration fully complies with national explosion-protection standards. Monitoring parameters can be customized according to user requirements, and real-time data can be displayed both on the platform and on-site LED screens, with display size and format available for customization.

The system supports multiple power supply options including DC12V, DC24V, and AC220V. Signal outputs include RS485 or 4–20 mA, and communication uses the Modbus RTU protocol with an open interface for secondary development and system integration. The project provides strong safety and environmental data support for chemical plant operations and risk management.
