Sun Weather Deploys Smart Meteorological Support System for Trial Zones and Ecological Monitoring

Recently, Jinzhou Sunshine Meteorological Technology Co., Ltd (Sun Weather) has successfully completed the deployment of an intelligent ecological environment observation system for a scientific trial area, marking the official operation of a smart meteorological support infrastructure. The project represents an important step in applying advanced meteorological technologies to modern agricultural and ecological management.

This smart environmental monitoring and release system goes beyond traditional single-factor weather observation. By integrating multi-parameter sensing, intelligent data transmission, and analytical technologies, it provides comprehensive data support for ecological protection, resource management, and sustainable development decisions.

The system features three-dimensional monitoring of key environmental elements. Compared with conventional weather stations, it focuses more on ecosystem relevance and multi-source data fusion. Monitoring indicators cover three major categories:

  • Basic meteorological parameters: air temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind speed, wind direction, and precipitation, measured with high-accuracy sensors

  • Ecological parameters: global solar radiation, sunshine duration, photosynthetically active radiation, UV radiation, evapotranspiration, and multi-depth soil temperature and moisture (0–100 cm), directly reflecting ecosystem energy and water cycles

  • Environmental quality parameters: PM2.5, PM10, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and other pollutant concentrations, as well as negative oxygen ions, enabling integrated ecological and environmental assessment

The system adopts a low-power, high-stability intelligent design. Field data can be displayed on large LED screens, while communication modules support RS232, RS485, 4G, and BeiDou/GNSS timing. Even during communication interruptions, the device can locally store data for up to three months. Remote diagnostics, threshold configuration, and alarm functions are supported through the cloud platform, significantly reducing on-site maintenance workload. The enclosure features anti-corrosion and lightning-protection design with IP65 or higher protection rating, ensuring reliable operation under heavy rain, dust, and harsh weather.

Monitoring data are transmitted to a cloud platform for in-depth analysis and visualization, forming diversified ecological service outputs. The system supports applications in nature reserves and wetland parks for microclimate monitoring and rare species habitat protection. In agro-ecological scenarios, combined meteorological and soil data help guide precision irrigation and pest control. Long-term datasets also support climate change impact studies and environmental governance through pollutant–meteorology correlation analysis.

With the system now in operation, Sun Weather continues to strengthen smart meteorological capabilities for trial zones, providing high-quality data and technical support for ecological research and sustainable management.
